Question: How long is a residency at Art Farm?
Answer: A residency at Art Farm can be from 2 weeks to 5 months, depending on your project proposal. We usually recommend residencies of between 812 weeks to give artists enough time to adjust to the environment and to complete a body of work. We recommend closer to 12 weeks if you are planning a large outdoor project

Question: What kind of weather can I expect?
Answer: 2006-2009 average midsummer temperatures were in the high 90s. Autumn of 2001 was normal except for six tornados on a single day. August of 2003 provided a plague of insects. There can be possible weather extremes: Springhigh winds and tornadoes; Summerheat, humidity, and insects; Fallusually perfect, but possible cool mornings and lite snow. Rain is possible at any time. On the positive sidepicture perfect sunsets, bright starry nights.
Question: Do I need to bring tools or equipment?
Answer: Art Farm will provide hand and power tools and equipment for work-exchange projects. We recommend you bring your favorite personal hand and power tools for your own use. Access to larger equipment for woodworking, metalworking, ceramics, earth moving machinery etc., is by arrangement with Art Farm.
Question: How many artists will be at Art Farm?
Answer: Generally there are 3 artists-in-residence at one time, sharing the farmhouse. Often Interns, visiting artists, and students may stay for shorter periods.
Question: Can I bring my pet?
Answer: We request you leave your pet at home out of consideration for other artists and the Art Farm menagerie.
